Kabuki-related materials are digitized

A couple of weeks ago,  we posted the great news that 330 censored Kabuki scripts will be digitized by the Shochiku Otani Toshokan.  Though we have no Kabuki scripts in the Prange Collection (as far as we know), we’re happy to announce that we have recently digitized approximately 30 Kabuki-related books as a part of the digitization of the books of literature in the Prange Collection.  Below are some examples.

The digital images of these books are currently only available onsite in the Prange Collection.  The books are uncatalogued, but a basic inventory is also available onsite in the Prange Collection.
